Clutching / RPMs

I'm going to be playing with some weights on my 04 MC800.

Whats the target RPM on these machines?

What springs and weights is everyone else running?

I searched and couldn't find much.

You want to hit 7400-7600 RPM, unless you have mods. I have to ask my dad what we used to run on our 800s.

I would think the 800 would spin a little faster, like 7500-7800.
Maybe 65 gram weights
Thats just a guess.

If you are still running the non fixed pin clutch I highly recommend running Polaris 10 series weights in it. I am running these weights and they pull much harder than cat weights.

I shoot for 7800 with my D&D pipe but have always ran mine harder than Cat recommends.

Motor is stock with a SLP can and gutted airbox. I'm running a 6 post primary with 65g Cutler weights, team secondary, I'm unsure how it's set up though.

I'm engaging at just over 3,500rpm and hitting 8,000rpm.

Only one ride with the Team, not sure I like it, it's like riding a fourstroke, heavy engine braking sensation, is that normal?

It seems I've lost a lot of snap with this set up, I used to be able to lift the skis much easier.
