Clutching problems on 2007 M8

Hi guys - I'm having trouble with my 2007 M8, particularily with getting rpm at high elevations (in the mountains).

I have added a Speedwerx pipe, extended the track from 141 to 153, airbox modification, additude controller, digitron, and installed a 34/44 Helix. I am running 68gm weights at 3000ft, and I am getting approximately 8000rpm. When I go to the mountains at 6000-7000ft, I am getting 7600rpm. Went back to my straight 36 Helix, and that didn't change anything.

Should I take more weight out of the primary, or would the problem be due to something else? I have had dealerships look at it, and they don't know what is wrong.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

We have a 08 m8 that we set up with 44/40 helix and 75 gram weights that pulls like a dream from 3000ft to 8000ft. I've been told to stay stock with a m8, just change the can and air box for weight savings.

Do a search on here there is a lot of good clutching advice. GEO had a good setup that he posted when they were new sleds. Talk to Speedwerx they will help you with the clutching specs for thier equipment. In stock form you do not want ot be turning that many R's, but with the SW pipe they may have moved the power curve up a bit.
