Clutching on stock Nytro

I tried some two stage heel clickers on mine. They worked great on the trail i could tune my rpm perfect and the sled pulled real hard. But as soon as i go off trail it falls on its face. So after looking around i decided to go with a hartman setup on primary and seconday. I should get it next week so i can report on it after testing.

Has anyone played with diff weights yet?

I tried the 8bf-00's like this guy said, but I didn't like the higher engagement. It also felt like I lost alot of the low end grunt. However, they backshifted better and would hold 9000 rpm in the powder. I didn't add any rivets to them or play with different springs, etc. I could also bump the rev limiter right off the start, so I tried an old helix I had 42/36, and that helped on the start, then would end up at 9000 rpm again. I should put the 8BF's back in and play around with them some more. I've been wanting to try the 8BU-10's like came in the 05 RX! Mtns, but haven't found any to try out yet. Let me know if you find a good setup. I was at 6000'

I ground 3 grams off of the heel of the stock wts and tightened up the secondary and held 8400. Went with Outlaw motorsports setup and am now running 8400-8900 solid, climbing in wet heavy powder. The rpm hunting seems to be much less also and track speed is 45 and better. That setup made a great difference.

Ive got Hartmens kit coming as well.. Hopefully it works ,,Im going to gear it down on top as well 19 tooth as I switched the track to the 162...

I just installed a hartmen kit in my nytro. running 162'' track timbersled front and rear suspension and tunnel not geared down. Just did a few test runs in some deep wet snow and it pulled hard. It ran about 8700 rpm.

I was only at about 2000' in a field doing test runs I'll take up in the mountians this weekend but feels much better then it did. really seems to get with it quick. I still think I might gear down some will see after I ride it.
