Clutching M1000, mod

Hi all,

A modded M-1000 (-09 model) with twin pipes, porting etc. pulling around 190Hp @ 7800/7900rpm, what kind of clutching would be needed to make this thing run perfect? Have M8 gearing and 162 powerclaw.

Thanks for the replies. Running 0-4500 ft elevation and overreving a bit with 85's. Trying to get a feel for what is the "right area" of weight to be in.

If you get the cutler 80 to 90 adjustable weights you can dial it right in maybe 86 or 87
 
i agree with JDOG . the cutler adjustables80-90 should get you close enough to fine tune.there secondary is a sweet setup also. running both on my m and think there awesome
 
Sled pulls 7800, maybe even 7900 with 85gr weights, all else being stock in clutching. Need something heavier but wondering if Daltons 83-91 are enough, or d o I need to go with the 86-94 weights?

What about helix change, anyone found the sweet one for ported/twin piped machines?

What RPM are you looking for sounds like you are close ? I would go with the 83 to 91"s
 
Just guessing but I bet you will end up with 87gram weights also what spring in the drive clutch?

SLP twins in 1000cc engine??
Only SLP twins which I know are for 700cc.

Guess you're right. Thing is it's not my sled, just trying to help my friend.

Gonna go another round with him but after looking around I suspect D&D.

I would double check with your friend see what pipe and porting setup he has the target rpm seems kind of low to me .
