Hi,

Have a TVector. Midmount 2860Rs turbo.
~10psi..
162" 2" lugs
20/40 gearing
1000-3000feet

Heelclicker (HC-X billet roller) sec. with 50' helix.. (have a 42/38' helix aswell).
Hauck (roller) sec. with 52/48' helix
Stock sec with shockwave helix

What sec spring to use?
What sec to use?
Primary weights?
Primary spring?

Totally lost on this topic.. :face-icon-small-fro

Thanks for looking.

Clutching Vector turbo

14.5mm rollers
Blue/Pink/Blue primary spring
8BU-00 weights loaded
Shockwave Straight Helix
Purple EPI Arctic spring ACSS-5 ?

Should get you close at about 50 degrees 0-3
Hope this helps

ok.

Weights, max load? in both holes?

So you recommend me to go with stock sec. and a Shockwave.
Instead of the Hauck roller or the Heelclicker HC-X sec?

Thanks Rasmus

I think this is very close. The EPI spring is a ACSS-05.
Not sure if loaded 8BU's are heavy enough for this low elevation even at 10 lbs. I would look at the DaltonPro arms. They come in 62-69.4 or 73.6-81 or 79-86.4. If you need more weight they have tungsten inserts to get up to around 91 gr I believe. The have the same profile as a 8BU and they are super easy to adjust.
I would say for this sled, the QAY-62's at 62-69.4 would work great.

I don't know much about the roller you have, as we have always used straight cut 51's or 47's.

Cheers

i liked the 49 strait cut on mine found 51 worked but liked the 49 better stock clutches work great why mess with the unknown unless you enjoy playing with that stuff.8bu are only good up too around 12-14 lbs boost then you need to weld on them or get the daltons.

I ran what powderlites reccommeded and it worked perfect. I have a shockwave for sale as well. I won't be able to use it on my new creation.

Thanks guys!!

One more question.. which RPM do I want to have?

Engagement
Max
Shift

Great to know when I start to tune!

And if i run 14-16 PSI will the 69g (fully loaded) daltons be to lightweight?
On their site they state that I should use 73g base weight.

If i buy their tungsten inserst I would have a span from 62g to 73g..
Should that cover it?
I mean if the 73g would be to heavy when I run at 10psi and 62g to light when i run at 14-16 psi!

I think 69 gr will too light at that elevation. My kid runs 77 gr Daltons in his Nytro at 5500-7500 ft t 16-18 lbs boost. I think the profile of the Dalton allows for a bit more weight than the Supertips or 8BU.

Ok,
The dalton 62g can be loaded to 73g with tungsten.
Still to light?

And if I turn down the boost to 13-14psi.. Will 73g be fine then?

You can never know until you actually test. 13-14 lbs boost at your elevation is alot. You could try the 62-73 gr weights and just run your boost accordingly. It is going to make alot of power at 10-14 lbs at the elevation you are riding.

Also,

Are the springs good. For different weights aswell?
Can I use the 8FA-00, from a RX-1..? They are 69.4g.

How much do the profile matter? Is the 8BU-00, the "perfect" profile for my application?

Thanks Rasmus

stay away from the 8fa profile.they are useless.8bu00 work great.minimum 43 degree helix finish angle.
