Clutching for Revy with a Turbo Apex. Good starting point?

Apex with a MCX turbo. It has the 310 kit but will probably only run it on pump gas the first time so max 12 lbs boost. Just wondering where a good place to start would be. Right now it is clutched for 10000 ft. It has the 8BU weights in it and a blue/green/blue spring. Secondary is a stock helix ( not sure what angle ) with a silver spring. I took it out around here ( 2000 ft ) and it was bouncing off the rev limiter at 1/2 throttle with the boost turned down as low as it would go. Just wondering if the 8BU's will work for 6000 to 7000 ft or am I wasting my time? Also. Are these springs any good or do I need to different springs for that elevation? Also. What recomendations for riding the flats at 2000 ft? Any help would be great. First time to the mountains with this sled and I want it to be at least close for clutching. Thanks guys

Try blue/white/blue prim spring. 47 deg straight helix with green ac spring wound tight. Loaded 8bu's are light but would probably work at 12 lbs. Probably need to run 85 gr of weight on the flats with a 51 helix.

So then at 2000 ft there is no way the 8bu's will work? I am guessing a set of Supertips will be a good investment? The helix I have has been custom ground so I have no idea what angle it is.

It's probably a 51 deg which would probably work fine with a 162 track.
8bu's will not work on the flats. I have a set of supertips that were used 1 weekend if you want some cheap. It's a complete kit. PM me.

One thing you have to remember is alot of guys will take there new turbo'd sled out around the house or field for a test run on 6 - 12" of snow. the sled aint hooking up, and will bounce off the rev limiter like that. If you were to take your exact setup to revy right now, it wouldn't bounce off the limiter near as bad. NM has a great setup. let us know how it works.
