Clutching for Jaws Twins

Alright ive got an 05 M7 153" Im running jaws twins with a MOD airbox and BDX valves. Right now im riding at 1100ft, so the only thing ive changed is to 75g weights. It engages at about 3100, which is one problem im trying to get rid of, i want it around 4000, Max RPM is 7500, id like it in about the 8000-8100 range.

This is what im thinking of doing please tell me if this sounds good or you have a better option.

Speedwerx Light weight tiped weights. with a Speedwerx H5 Alloy Green/White (148/290) Spring. with a RKT Secondary kit

Would the spring not bump up the engagement RPM and light tipped weights get my max rpms a little higher? Thats how i understand it from reading as much as i can.

Also open for suggestions on a starting point for 9000+ft

I would try a higher starting and finishing spring first and see where that puts you, before changing weights.

You think a 148/290 is enough? right now im just running the cat yellow/white (cant remember the numbers i got em written down here somewhere) the speedwerx spring im looking at is the equivalent to the discontinued orange/white

122/285 yellow /white

I would try the 148/290 and see where that puts you.

Alright i may have an old one around here somewhere...another question for you. You think my secondary could be holding my sled from backshifting causing it to not crank out max RPMs under a load?

Try your spring first, If you can hold steady RPM's I would leave the rear alone for now.

Remember, Change only one thing at a time.

Alright, put that spring in and engaged at 3700. It is an old old spring, got it out of a 95 ZR clutch. i ordered the speedwerx one anyways that way i have a fresh spring. im gunna finish putting the side pannels and **** on and ill see if it still wont peak.

Okay just rode it to the point of where it does it. did it again but it acted like it wanted to come out of it right away. but then i stopped doing the side hill and it continued doing it untill i stopped compleatly then it was free of it.

Whats the "doing it"

What was your max RPM's and did it hold it?

Max RPM when it goes good (on flat ground) 7500-7600. when i side hill it goes to like 6000-6500 and wont go back to 7500 unless you stop compleatly

You must have something that that is sticking or binding in one or both of your clutches.

we got dumped on last night. rode again today and it would peak at 7500 rpm 50% of the time but the other 50% rpms were only 6000 and the belt was slipping a lot

EDIT: Alright so heres what i tried. Pulled the secondary off of a 2007 M8 put that on there and rode it again. First 1/4mile with it on it worked phenominal. after that 6000 rpms no matter how the terrain is if i feather it i can maybe get 6200. it did get rid of the belt slip though. (belt sits about 2-3 mm above the sheaves of the secondary when idling.

Your using a new belt correct ?
Are the clutch sheaves glazed?
Is snow getting one your clutches?

No not really they look normal.

No its compleatly dry under the hood.

All your Rollers and weights free and not binding in your drive clutch?

Check your weights and rollers like you would change weights. Just make sure the rotate and don't bind.

As far as going not going higher than 6000 RPM's, that could be a Power Valve issue.

I got it figured out! this came to me when i was sleeping last night haha. It was pumping too much fuel into the motor and causing it to bog and hold at 6000 i dropped the numbers on the boondocker at 6700 rpm and the bog went up to 7000. so thank you for the help i really appriciate it!
