Clutches

So I was wondering how often people clean there clutches. Like washing them in the wifes dish washer, also blowing them out with air. Just wondering what other people arre doing.

I blow mine out after every ride with the air compressor. And about once a month I pull it and wash it in hot water and soap to degrease and inspect it. Then I reinstall it and start the sled without the belt, and run a Brillo pad with carb cleaner (ether) over the sheaves. Repeat with a clean cloth and reinstall the belt. Its amazing what a difference it makes in how your clutch operates. Also if you store your sled in the off season outside with the cover on I usually pull the clutches and put them inside where they stay warm and dry. But then agian I'm picky as He!! when it comes to my sled:face-icon-small-sho
