Clutch weights for Colorado

So I just picked up a new SKS from Alberta, What elevation is most of the riding in Colorado, just wondering what I need to tell the dealer to set the elevation for and do I just change have them change the weights or do I have to do anything else as well?

Thank you

I would go down two grams in primary weights which should be a good compromise for most CO conditions and altitude.

I can show you how to change the weights, VERY easy and at most a 1/3 of a beer job.

Make sure you ask the dealer if the fuel in the tank contains oil. Polaris requires 32 oz (.95 liters Canadian) of oil blended to a full tank of gas for a new sled. Some dealerships don't add the oil, some blend the entire amount of oil with the several gallons in the tank, and some only add the appropriate oil for the gas they put in the tank (40:1).

For import to USA you will need to get rid of the 393.7 cm sticker on the tunnel and get the USA 155" sticker instead, the 800 cc sticker on the hood needs to be converted from metric to 48.819 cubic inches, and the 6.6 cm lugs need to be switched out for 2.6inch lugs on the track or you may risk deportation by Trump-unless you are from a terrorist nation.

Its your call as to go down 2 or 4 grams on the weight. When I clutched for 10-12k feet, I found myself overrevving when I was riding trails at lower elevation with the wife. I found the 8-10k clutching was good enough compromise for off trail and riding with the wife.

They are installing them for free, i just need to know if I need it set for 10k altitude or something different and if anything different needs to be done besides just changing the clutch weights. They are putting the oil in before it leaves the shop but I will need to add the gas.

Mine came with 10-60 from the dealer in Colorado and they work for everything I have ridden out here
