Clutch torques

I cant find the torques for the primary and secondary anyone know them?

80# for the primary..

and ive nevered torqued my secondary, just tightened

Max of 14 ft-lbs for the secondary. 12 is sufficient. Use red loctite each time you remove the bolt also.

Red loctite on the clutch bolts?

Only on the secondary bolt. Do not loctite the primary.

I wouldn't use red, blue is what the factory uses.

Blue is what i got in the tool chest, and thats what is going on there lol

Red is perfectly fine to use still. Blue is factory though.

With my 09 D8 it is 80 FT-lbs for the primary and 17 Ft-lbs for the secondary. Use the blue not the red loctite. If your secondary is a Grade 5 5/16 bolt with 18 threads per inch its 17 ft-lbs. If its a grade 5 with 24 threads per inch its 19 ft-lbs. Grade 5 has three slash marks on the bolt. This right out of the shop manual General reference standard bolt torque specifications.

I used blue also thats what i got in the tool box. Isnt the red the super strong strength lock tight? I never use that anymore to much of a pain in the.....

Yes the red is the super strong one. The secondarys come with blue on them. The red is unnecessary on this bolt.
