Clutch slips in reverse

I have an 05 900 and I mentioned in title the clutch slips in reverse. You can smell the belt burning when reverse but when in forward, absolutely no problems with the clutches at all. Anyone ever have this problem or know where to start looking?

Which belt are you using?

The 3211080. Never had a problem with it until this year.
Did a helix change a couple years ago and changed the belt out then.

some Helix's are not cut deep enough for the reverse. and it will slip out of it. I had this problem also and had to have my helix cut deeper for the reverse.and make sure belt deflection is set right also. hope this helps.

I mentioned this problem to indydan... he said to send him your helix and he can machine the reverse notches deeper. I haven't sent mine to him yet though.
