Clutch rollers are sloppy

I have my clutch apart and I'm wondering how much play there should be in the rollers? They seem pretty sloppy. There are quite a few miles on the sled and I don't know if the clutch has ever been rebuilt. Is there a maximum wear tolerance or amount of play that the rollers should have? Would it also be a good idea to replace the threaded pins?
Thanks for any suggestions

If you haven't, pull the pins out and check the fiber bushings on the inside of the rollers,,, mine were chipping apart at the edges. I replace the roller and the washers, but re-used the pins as they looked good. My issue was the rollers were very tight on the pin due to binding of the bad bushings. If yours are really loose, maybe the bushings are further along (ie missing),,, Rollers and the fiber stop washers are just over a $100,,, See CyclePartsNation for picture,#s, and an idea on prices,,,

Should be very little if any play in the rollers. Also check your spring cover bushing and the moving half bushing. simply take the two pieces of the clutch that you have removed slide them onto the fixed half of the clutch to their respective spot on the shaft and rock them back and forth. They should not rock around. If they are worn they need to be replaced. Not replacing will cause the rest of the bushing and/or rollers to wear prematurely. I feel that the TRA is a sweet clutch but does require yearly maintenance. I always stop at the car wash on the way home from the hill and clean up. I feel that cleaning the clutches and surrounding areas with hot soapy pressure washer then rinsing clean is helping to keep the wear down on the primary. Belt dust has to be hard moving parts.

ditto on the inside of the rollers..just had my clutch apart and one of the 3 rollers inside ceramics were broken off on the edge..and my clutch was just rebuilt 4oo miles ago

don't buy the skidoo rollers....they don't last long and are pricey. By the old style ones from CVtech. They have the old style ones in stock and last much longer. The other guys are correct though, eliminate the worn items will give the rollers a much longer life, add the old style rollers and you also get more life out them again.

Been buying my rollers from Fett Brothers performance. Ran them all last season, just checked them the other day and still look good.
