clutch rattle

hello guys i have an 04 rev ,,,when it is idleing 1700-2000 rpm theres a rattle(noise)comming from the primary????any idea's what it is ????is it screwed??????

rattle

Check the brake rotor it is most likely coming from there hold it or lock the brake and see if it goes away

Most likely worn rollers and probably needs a new end cap bushing and sliding half inside bushing. Changed all of this on my clutch and now it is quiet again.

Interesting... I noticed the same thing on my buddies 03 skidoo... He has thousands of miles on it without a rebuild... I was thinking piston slap, but could be the clutch.

High idle=less clutch and motor mount wear.

Sounds like the clutch needs to be rebuilt. It should be gone through more often than people believe. They newer the rebuild the more efficient they will work.

Have a buddy's rev do the same thing , what we found was that after he pulled the electric starter out the ring gear on the back of the clutch was loose, screws started to back out.

id say its your bushing on your primary spring holder most likely fell inside.... rollers will not make noise cause i had a set that was completely shot and rode like that for a while but its a good idea to fork over the cash and get it rebuilt...
