Clutch Question

Hey Guys, I recently bought a 900. When going through it I found there was alittle "slop" in the secondary clutch. When you push/pull it, it will move along the shaft? Not anymore then a few centimeters but it still worries me? Is this ok? If not what should I do about it? Thanks in advance!

Yes it is called clutch float. The team clutches are required to float freely to help with alignment of the clutch when engaging. For the 900 is about .030"(.75mm) so get a feeler gauge and check how much it is floating and get it withing specs. Also get a alignment tool I got mine from slp but there are a couple brands which use different ways. Just follow there instructions and specs. Although the 900 is hard to align since the design doesn't allow it to move much. A well aligned/balanced clutch is what these 900's prefer.

There are a bunch of info on this forum about the 9's so a lot of great reading to learn here in the "how to" and other stickies at the top. Enjoy the new to you ride.
