I like this MH, I think its the one I am going to buy:face-icon-small-coo

Wow, there's 8 min of my life I can't get back.....

Neat idea, but what a pain in the ***. Solution to a problem that really isn't a problem anyone?

My clutches come off super easy every time with a regular puller in about 30 sec. I use small cordless impact. All you have to do is lightly emery cloth the shaft and inside of the clutch every time you remove it. Then wipe both with a rag and wd40. This prevents the bur and rust that makes them hard to remove. I do this at the start and end of every season and have never had any trouble.

I agree... that product is over kill. I don't agree with using an impact wrench though.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here Nubulin... but this is counter to the engineered design of taper fits for decades.... even on boat propellers.

I'm glad it has worked for you though.

Never, ever, use any kind of oil or lube on the taper of the crank or the clutch.

Of course lubed clutches are easy to pop off... they are never really stuck in the first place.

This is a very good way to gall the clutch/crank.

The crank should be clean, rust free, and perfectly grease oil free (use brake cleaner on both the crank and the bore).

I've used a similar method of the hydraulic puller by using a cut off regular puller and some water... even the probematic 900cfi clutches at 96 ft/lbs come right off.

This is the most gentle method to remove a clutch that I've seen to date.

Kinda cheezy movie... and my female friends that could kick 90% of our azzes on the hill ... might take objection to the "even a woman can do it".

I like it because of how gentle this is on the crank.

Yes you can use other methods... this is just one to choose from.

I think you misunderstood me. I don't lube the shaft, just wipe the surface corrosion off with wd40 and assemble basically dry. I've been doing this for years and never had one show any signs of spinning on the shaft.
