clutch help please

2008 700 rmk. I had to pull the motor to fix a few problems, and i had the seconday off sitting ontop of a box and when i picked it up to move it i noticed a washer sitting there. On the bolt head side i have 5 washers and this one is the exact same size as the other 5. so i looked at some scematics and it showed i only need 2. what the heck is going on here weird chances that washer ended up there or is it part of the other washers. I tried to put in and alot of play. and why do I have so many. Any help would be much apprecited THANKS

those washers adjust your your clutches. put the clutch back on with the washer. it aligns your clutches

The washers on the bolt act as shims to allow the secondary to "float " , Polaris specs want +/-.030" of float . Put the washer back in , push the secondary in , and put feeler gauge between bolt head washer and clutch ( after torquing to 17 foot lbs) to find out how much float you have .

Thanks a million i will check that the only problem is there is no way the washer fell off because the bolt head and the spacer sandwich the washers. Unless somebody put one on the back side of the spacer. Any other info would really be apprecited. Curious what other people have. THANKS
