Clutch help...doesn't rev high enough

I just put an SLP bighorn air intake and SLP single pipe on my '05 700 RMK. Also replaced the stock primary spring with an SLP black/pink in an effort to hit 8200 RPM which is where SLP says the motor makes maximum HP. The most I can pull is 8000 RPM for a second or two and then it backshifts to 7800 RPM. What does it take to hit 8200? Do I need to switch out the stock 64 gram weights for a 62 gram weights? I tried the 68 MTX weights and the clutch ran way too hot (I don't have the clutch holder to take apart the spider to shim so I'll stick with the stock profile weights I guess). All testing so far has been at 500 feet elevation so once I head into the mtns I know I'm going to be way down on RPM. Ideas??

Thanks for any help!!!!

You should have had to add 2 grams of weight with the single on there, not subtract. Something else is going on there. How are you jetted? I assume you rejetted it after adding the pipe! If you went by the slp instruction sheet, it is way way off. Drop about 5 sizes and run it again. Just make sure to watch your plugs for the right color.

SLp jetting charts says to run 500's for 10-40 degrees. I am running 470's (stock) and it is about perfect, plugs are a light tan ( might have to jet up if it gets colder).

I just picked up a new secondary spring since it has the original in it. Going to add a delrin washer as well and see if that makes any difference. I know the secondary doesnt really have much to do with top rpm but i figure i might as well freshen it up to eliminate that as a possible problem.

You are waaayyyh rich. Even at sea level you should be fine with 410's.
Dont look at plug color but the burn on the ground electrode. It should be right to the bend....if it is getting close to the threads you are getting too lean. No visible burn or not to the bend is rich.
