Got a couple questions for all you guys that know clutches... Just finished cleaning my clutches and putting new bushings in my weights. Took it out for a spin in the field and it felt like the clutch was engaging at a very high RPM and just overall it felt "off". Took it in to the shop, put it on the stand and reved it a couple times, then the primary seemed to "lock up" and not let go of the belt. Shut it down and felt the clutch sheaves, couldn't touch 'em as they were very hot. Let it cool down a little bit, ran it again on the stand, no issues. Did that a dozen or so times and never had the primary stick again. What would cause this? My rollers seemed ok, no vertical slop and they all rolled pretty easily.
Also, my clutch engaged at around 4100 rpm, is this normal or a little high? Seems like my dads 08 700 engaged at a much lower rpm (3400ish) and was much smoother to get the sled moving. My deflection is set at about 1". The grooves on the top of the belt are just above the secondary.
