I just put on a brand new clutch cover after the first was all bent up. put on 100 miles now the new one is bent, and rubbing on the secondary again. is anyone else having this issue? and does anyone know why? could this be knee pressure or too much oil?

I am having this issue also. I think you are on the knee pressure. Is there any aftermarket "stiffeners" that are out there?

if your are jumping or lots of wheelie to front end slap then that is why. Mine cracked 1/4 through but did not bend, went through a couple as well.....

with the problems your having I would strip off all the plastic and inspect the whole frame for damage I have a feeling your over structure may be broken.

I have inspected the whole over structure and no sign of cracking or bending. its a sba as well so it is the aluminum overstructure. the sled has never been rolled on hard ground or dumped yet. today I plan to reinforce it and straighten it, so we will see how that works.

Do you have the factory tool pouch "stuffed" with items??

I've seen the "knee pressue issue" come up on a few sleds that weren't even ridden hard... the pouch was stuffed with items... and when the console gets pushed in slightly... no clearance and too much pressure on the clutch cover.

I use a couple sticks of aluminum and riveted one on either side of the oil tank to reinforce it. I hope this works. I also removed my tool kit. Mountain Horse I think your on to something with that knee pressure. between the knee pressure and the oil tanking taking the downward forces.

I bent mine when I misjudged a landing. I would be willing to bet my knee is what took it out (I felt that one for a good month). I was thinking about buying the blowhole, good thing I didn't because it would be broke to pieces too. I just bent my clutch cover back and am going to see if it lasts:face-icon-small-dis, if not I guess I'll be reinforcing it.

I don't have anything in my tool kit it's all in my backpack so that's not an option, and over structures look good. I just had it stripped down last weekend to put on my mwp bumper and nothing is broken. I think it was a hard landing, thinking I'm going to make a reinforcement kit. If anybody else is interested in them I can program a bunch into my Torchmate and cut them out. Thanks for everyone's advice.
