Clutch balancing

It should be checked out to ensure it is balanced even if purchased new IMO. I have heard many stories of them being way off on the balancing straight from the factory.

Definatley get the clutch ballanced. Do not get it ballanced untill you have the weights and springs you are going to use and the belt clearance set. Polaris clutches seem to come set to about .070 new belt clearance which is way to wide. Ideal is somewhere around .015-.020. Makes for much smother clutch ehgagement and less prone to digging a hole when you start out in powder. I had my 05 900 RMK ballanced and it really smothed out the engine. Any imballance is hard on the PTO side bearing and decreases engine life.
