Closing Nytro grip heater circuit

I put some new bars on and am not using the grip warmers and now I get a Code 81. How can I close the grip heater circuit to get rid of the code. I tried splicing the wires together to no avail then tried splicing a piece of aluminum foil to mock a voltage drop but still getting the code.

You have to make sure they are off before you unplug them. Now you need to plug them back in start the sled turn them off then unplug them.
