I thank you all. I will try this. Good to know that I am not the only dummy in this world. This has been frustrating.

Sometimes there are threads that are created with the underlying tone of trying to cause trouble while asking questions.

Actually, making the call to close a thread is not an easy decision, many factors must be considered; how did the thread originally start, where has the tone of the thread gone, is the thread likey to benefit the greater good of the snowest members, is it better to let the thread descend into what it may first and then deal with it... or make a pre-emptive call to do something with it, and what kind of responses will a closure/move/edit/delete cause... both public and private?....

99% of threads will never need to be touched in any way, but every once in a while, it is beneficial intervene.

There is often much discussion behind closed doors on just what is to be allowed and how much leeway is to be given. It is very typical for myself or the other moderators to ask for second opinions before we even do anything to make sure that each action is deemed appropriate and justifyable for the circumstance.

I hope that helps:beer;

What makes you so smart that you think you know what the underlying tones of any thread that someone else started may or may not be? Is there a moderator school that you went to? Have you got a Phd. in Underlying toneology? I am a member of several other forums, most not snowmobiling related and I have never seen a thread closed for any reason. And they are all moderated. Most of them you can even say sh#t or cr#p and a few other words without the fear of getting an infraction. I'm just saying. Mello out a little bit and others won't be so quick to try and push the Mod buttons

A while back their were some closed threads that I wanted to make a comment on. I asked the question of why. Causing problems intentionally, no. Which thread??? Cannot honestly remember. I am sorry that I don't have the time to sit here all day and make comments like some of you. I work. So snowest F off.
