Close call with a cow moose

This past weekend my father went riding with a friend in Grand Lake, Co. While playing in an untouched meadow he stopped to take a break and noticed a fresh pile of animal ****. Not but 5 second later a full grown cow moose stands up from behind a tree and took a few steps towards my father. She was no more than 15 feet from him and was not going to move. He tried yelling at her, stand up on his sled and revving his sled to try and get her to move a long. After about 5 mins he decided we was going to shoot through a gap in the trees. As soon as the moose started to turn away he pinned it and this caused the moose to turn back around and lung towards my dad, just missing him. Very close call and would have been a bad time to get stuck.

Moose are not like other members of the deer family. You can't 'shoo' a moose. They stand their ground and they are not afraid of you. The only thing you can do is wait for them to move away or go around them.

Glad your ol man didn't decide to pull a stunt like this jacks$$

Id like to find this guy and give him the same treatment he gave the moose. What a moron. Your in THEIR TERRITORY. No excuses

AND that kind of crap gives the whole sport a black eye!! You can bet the enviros looked at that and blamed the sport! They didn't look at it as one moron. Who the hell rides a sled with a Glock anyway?

No question it reflects on the sled community (and gun owners) as a whole, makes us look like Ignorant folk who feel the need to arm them selves in the dead of winter while riding a machine capable of outrunning just about anything in the woods short of a low flying aircraft..?

Not meaning to sound like a nazi or anything, but I would imagine the laws regarding firearms and sleds are probably in line with our regs here in colorado which say
33-14-117. Hunting, carrying weapons on snowmobiles - prohibitions.
(1) It is unlawful for any person to:
(a) Hunt any wildlife from a snowmobile;
(b) Operate or ride on any snowmobile with any firearm in his possession, unless such firearm is unloaded and enclosed in a carrying case or inserted in a scabbard
(c) Pursue, drive, or otherwise intentionally disturb or harass any wildlife by use of a snowmobile

Guy clearly has no ethical voice in their head, he was fully capable of avoiding a comfrontation with the moose. Instead he provoked the animal by continuing to encroach on its position even after it had showed signs of agression. The simple fact that he didn't even make the slightest attempt to alter his course after spotting the moose in an effort to not disturb it shows that he has no respect for wildlife and the life the live. Ever try running in four feet of snow?
Not to mention, who is dumb enough to actually post the video sh!t like that..?

Maybe this guy needs to spend a winter in the woods trying to survive only to have some heartless bastard fire five rounds into him when they enter his domain. Kinda like if someone entered this mans home, started shouting and harassing him, then just blew him away because he was in the way.

Im passionate about sledding and even more about hunting. I have emmense respect for any animal I am fortunate enough to harvest, for the harsh life they life and the meat they give when I take their life. This video makes my blood BOIL. The things people do never ceases to amaze me..

All I can say is that I hope Wyoming game and fish finds this guy and throws the book at him. I hope he feels the utmost shame and disgust from his senseless actions.
