climbing widow maker on turbo M1000 3-8-12

A buddy and I had good day riding this last Thursday.
Shortly after this a 2012 pro climb 1100 came down off the hill without a rider and hit the biggest rock at the bottom of the hill.

Post the trip down... that's the hairy part. If there was another way down, I'd climb it again... but I HATE the trip back down.

there is another way down. i climbed the shoot 2 shoots over to the left on saturday on my stock free ride and came down the other way.

stuck on widow maker

Not sure how old it was , but on Saturday - 10th I saw there was a hole right above the "rocks" on widow maker.

Anyone know the story?
Looked like that would have been pretty hairy getting out of!

It happened on Thursday I believe. It wasn't there Thursday afternoon, but was there when we arrived Friday morning. Was told it happened late Thursday... Looked like it could have had a bad ending above the rocks, but the marks looked like it escaped alright.

Once you get to the top just follow the ridgeline towards W/NW direction and it will dump you off to the lake that meets up with the start of the Roller Coaster. You can go down that north facing slope and work your way back to the WidowMaker. Unless it is wind blown severely like it is this year and fitting your sled thru the rocks gets a little tricky!

You left an impressive mark! Glad there wasn't any ice in there. Your roost followed the trench almost all the way to the bottom of the hill! Great climb

Impressive for sure!! we kept looking at that track wondering what it took to do that. You've got a bigger pair then i'll ever have thats for sure.

i test ran it a few time to the rocks and new the sun had been on it so it would be a little soft. after that just went for it.

I remember about four years ago you tried to climb between the two rocks in the middle and got stuck for about a solid hour right at the end of the day.... Priceless! LOL

ya that was not fun being stuck up there only time stuck in that shoot have done it 5 or 6 times.
