Clearing snow from running boards hitting oil lines?

I like to kick out my running boards often and noticed that the snow hardens and pushes on the oil lines under the tank to a pretty aggressive angle. I feel like it’s just asking to rip a oil line off and blow up the sled. Anybody else notice this and do anything about it or ever knock off the lines? I’m debating blocking off that area with some plastic so snow can’t get in to that area. Seems like a serious design flaw to me
