Clear lake/ lilly lake snowpark riding

Has anyone rode out of these two places lately? Are all the stumps covered up under the powerlines? Are any of the hill climbs still showing rocks? I havent been up there all year do to the lack of snow and dont want to make the drive if its not worth going.

Don't trust me on this, but I heard from a friend that he had some buddies up there last week and it was fine in the morning, but by the afternoon, they had to walk down the last 2 miles to the lot to get their rigs to load their sleds back up. I guess the snow was non existent on the trail in the afternoon. I want to ride up there this weekend, but don't want to trash my sled on the mud and rocks.

We have been riding up there all season, and we hardly ever got to use the actual Sno Parks due to lack of snow down low. If you have a rig that can do it, go to the Clear Lake Sno Park, turn up what is normally the groomed trail and head up to the T- intersection at Schaeler (sp?) Road. Park there and unload, and then get up to the top because there is still a ton of good snow from the towers to the air strip. It can start to get thin and crusty as you head out towards the Colockum Pass Road. They stopped grooming the weekend of the 16th. But I say go for it if you can drive up the wet, muddy, icy, and bumpy road. We usually can do that until May.

Don't forget a Discover Pass if you drive up the road and park somewhere though.
