Cleaning Cylinder

Must have stuck a ring or something (got it hot??) and have alunimum stuck to the cylinder. How do I clean up the cylinder?

Be careful but you can clean em up with miratic acid. It eats aluminum. Take your time and you can get them to clean right up.

X2.................if I could add, a Q-tip dabbed in the acid and applied to the area works very well. Yes, take your time and it works great. Rinse with hot soapy water when finished.

Thanks guys What would happen if sled got real hot, also what would happen if actual water went in intake on side panel? It's my brothers sled and happened last spring so I don't know exactly what happened but the top edge of the piston on the mag side towards the intake is missing some aluminum, but the PTO side is fine.
