what do you guys find works best for cleaning aluminum on your sleds like the tunnel, but don't want to polish, just clean?

I always use acid. its deluted from your local big rig washing facilities.
had pretty good results with wd40.works for injector oil and tree sap-smells and leaves a slippery residue but ya can wash it mostly off with soapy water. neverdul from crappy tire works not bad but labour intensive cause it polishes and chemicaly cleans .

Go to your local truck stop and buy some stuff called wicked aluminum polish. Wipe it on let it dry and wipe it off, great stuff.

Napa sells some sray on stuff. Its called Aluminum cleaner. Spray it on wait 5 to 10 minutes & wash it off w/water. I use on big truck tanks & stuff like that. Works pretty good.

I use a acid from our local marine dealer. Just dillute it before using. I just spray it on and rinse with water in 30 seconds, normally it will make it clean as new. And if you want the aluminum to stay looking clean it is very easy to wipe on a aluminum polish (Mother's) just my .02
