Is this not the type of rider our machine would more than satisfy?

http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112100

My guess is though if the SHA, or any other Snow Hawk rider were to add their two cents they would be either ignored or shunned by the old dogs;) set in their ways!

How do we get through to them now without skipping them and moving on to the newer generations? We hawkers are of a different mindset but our ages range from teens to sixty somethings.

What made a Skier open their mind one day and strap on a board?

Maybe we will never stand a chance since unlike the two ski crowd there is not a plentiful source of used hardware available.

If your answer is the conversion aka 2Moto/Explorer then consider yourself very lucky, for you have now what a generation will beg for later.

Not sure this is all new to me. From what i see around here people ride everything st

st= standing up.

The above quote ought to remind those of you who were snowmobilers first.

If you have forgotten take a sled riding and give up your Hawk for a while.

:)

Cough, cough!

I couldn't agree more,
As a die hard mountain snowmobiler and larger then average 6'5" 270 plus pounder all my Ski-Doos had to be drastically altered to feel right. Adding bar risers, bmx bars, brake line and throttle cable extensions helped me but no one else could get used to my sled. When I learned how to ride my first Snow Hawk it all came clear.

This fellow in the other topic may be a dirt biker whom his buddies that sled have finally gotten him to get into it. Unless you are loaded your first machine probably ain't going to be the latest greatest. So bar risers etc. on a beginner sled rider may result in a very damaged machine when he losses it one day on a sidehil, as all my sleds did.

I can't find it but there used to be a long going topic about how to side hill on the general forum. Mountain riding for all of us was not something you just learned by asking a question, but by doing, and that included some expensive mistakes.

To credit the Hawk, I have witnessed so many people shine sooner as we have taken them out, people who now realize now just getting a newer machine might not ever be the "right machine" for them.:D

Yet another. http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112142

tony, good to see you back, you passion is incredable. So far as I can see I like where you are going with your posts, lets not be antagonistic and cause a ruckus. Most of the forum responded positive to me after my rep post in the general forum. But there are still some out the that shun us because of past negitivity i.e calling names like " couches ", we can't turn everyone to the darkside Lord vader, Lol.

No negs!

Past experiences with me are one thing, forming opinions out of thin air long before our specific forum existed is plain ignorance!

I wish you could be on the phone when some guy too shy to post on here calls to inquire about his new purchase.:)

There are many who read through the negativity, they just don't have time for the BS!:face-icon-small-con

on a post, its between the post number count and the red and white triangle. Leave approvals to his posts. He's pretty far in the red so it will take a while to get back in the green.

As an experiment, one of you, specifically an ex sled rider feed your self to the lions and see what comes out.

I don't mean to convince the fellow to sell his new pride and joy, but your input may influence a few readers, just because a traditional Twoskier feels threatened and responds with an insult or a neg rep they are one in how ever many read the thread.

This is either going to grow for all of us, Hawk Fest will be a good gauge, or it stops here.

I for one need to break myself of my addiction even if it includes getting out all together.

Having ridden Hawks since 2003 I have more then my share of time on them , add the insane amount of money putt out to subsidize the public and the ungrateful manufacturer it needs to stop for me.
