Cinderblock buildings??

Looking at options for building a shop. How does cinder block compare to a steel or stick built. Whats the pricing like? I have never really delt with it before so I dont know anything about it. Basically looking for a cheap way to build a basic shop. Mostly to run a sled rental company out of.

have you looked into pole barn style shops!!!!!!!!!! not sure about price on any of them, i just know that pretty much all my friends with good size shops around here, they are pole barn style!!!!!!!!!!

Steel has gone up but still the best bang for the buck I think. Cinerblock is a lot of labor to put up VS steel. I put up a 50 X 80 steel building about 8 years ago, was up in a week.

Building with no garage doors put up on my foundation was $38,400 than.

Pole barns are nice too not sure on the $$$ though. I think the steel is less mantanence in the long run though. IMO

.

Anyone have a good pole building place they know of? I can do the labor my self I need like 30X40 at least but dont want to spend more than 30K I got a quote on a steel 30X40 with 2 garage door cut outs and a walk door delivered for 13K it seems to be a pretty good deal ocurse that doesnt include the cement work or doors for the garage cut outs

I just am finishing up a shop for a guy. It is a stick framed 32x46 and it has metal roofing and siding. Two ten foot doors, four windows and a three foot man door all for $29000 this includes concrete not dirt work. The building is twelve feet tall.
