It was nice to hear some things on the new M8 motor from Chris!

2010 M8 Rocks!.JPG

Cant wait to pull the trigger on one myself!!! Was gonna keep what I got but the 2010's are sounding pretty sweet!!

wow, no bias there!

???

Wanna hear a review about myself from myself??

I'm not cutting on Chris, just saying that's like hearing a review from the local cat rep...

I like cats but this sounds a little like BS

He first claims Oh yeah I climbed this run with a turbo sled many times before..........only a few others have ever attepted it.

Then, but my new 2010 Hcr climbed it stock ?

The new cats have around 10-15 hp over the 09's. A turbo sled even a mild pump gas is pushing 200 ish. Chris could straight school me on a sled but, his story seems awful biased

Who's drinking the green cool aid ?

Wow I am going to go snow check one now!!

I am sure they will be sweet but there might be just a little biased on this one.:p:p

Why do you think they pay him so much money to ride these things? Sponsoring the best guy ever to ride a sled makes them money...if not, they wouldn't do it! His job is basically to sell sleds and obviously does a great job of it!

humm... well seems like everbody is already on the right boat on this one.. so my help is needed elsewhere.... hahaha

Ya agreed the review was very bias.. but like justindacey said.. if somebody paid you that much money and gave you free sleds.. your reviews would sound the same way..

Do i dissagree with it.... YES... Do i understand why its that way.. YES..

Well when somebody actually gets to ride one of these that doesnt have true green blood.. lets hear a good review.. :D

As Corney as his write up was and him "schooling" even the modded Doo's & Poo's on the hill. I still think Burandt is cool and a great free rider and that a 160+hp M8 really does make the XP's look slow and awkward! Especially on set-up/packed snow!, the HCR's 90 duro PC track would be insane! and would fly high!!!

My modded 160+hp M8 does the same thing every day! I love it!!!

GO TEAM GREEN!!!

First off, WHY ARE YOU YELLING!?!?!?!

They could change nothing & still be the best balance of a durable lightweight, great handling sled, but they didn't do much this year, the snowchecks got heavier & we may or may not have the durability of a doo motor next year, we'll see.

I'm just saying, the real reviews are made by guys like frostbite, the guys that aren't biased, are looking for the next sled & don't care which brand it is.

I had a test & tune day where I had to ride a doo a bit last weekend, WOW did that reinforce my choice of cat, what a P.O.S. in anything but 3 feet of snow!

WOW is that LAME.

I've had 9 arctic cats and I think that "unsolicited letter" is total garbage. I am sure the new M8 will rock (as I have a 162SP on snow check), but his testimony is no better than the salesman's.

That is a bit of hoopla but i wouldn't doubt his ability to take that sled where he wants it to go, is 15 hp enough? lets hear from one of those guys shaking their fists or maybe someone who was riding the other brands there has to be one of them on here.

let me explain in black and white. The snow was hard but had 6 inches of fresh, went straight to a place with lots of people so I could show off, theres a crazy climb that I made with my 146 TM7 a few times, and right when I had every ones attention on the new sleds I made a break for it, with the only sled running at the time they had no choice but to watch as I went over the top, and they all loved it, what they don't know is my sled is dialed in to the nuts and would stomp any M8 that gets sold out of the box next year.:beer;:beer;:beer;:D

I would have said pretty much the same thing,
in the spring of 06 my buddie had a 05 m7 that was one of the strongest running m7's I've ever road, we went to the 06 demo in cooke (8-9000ft)and I jump on an 06 and we went riding for a bit. He had his A20 flipped to hillclimb and the 06 was positioned for powder riding, the 06 did have a thicker A20 on it that never went to production. So fisrt thing we lined up and I spanked him so hard in the first 50 feet he just let off, the first rolling hill I went over I stood it straight up and nearly came over on me while trying to rip the handle bars out of my hands. There is no way that was a stock m7, I didn't feel that kind of power again until I got my 07 m1000 with slp exhaust riding around 5000ft .

Probably a well tuned and clutched hcr m1000

I am going to be devil's advocate on this one. Just because he is sponsored by Cat, does that make what he said wrong or not true? I have had the good luck to meet Chris in person and ride with him. Could you or I climb that hill on the same sled? Probably not. Is the rider still the most important accessory on a sled? absolutly. The details are in the letter. He has climbed it so he knows what to expect. The snow was set up and he was running the HCR which has the stiffer track. Could he do it again with 6" of new snow? Who knows but I think that Chris would do more harm than good to himself and his Back Country Adventures by not telling the truth. He has always let his riding talk for him. Just my .02 and no I get nothing by posting this(but if cat wants me to demo a 2010 M8 for a few years feel free!!:D)
