chip for an old stroker

alright, i know theres a large thread on here already about this, but i don't have time to dig and find it (nor a internet connection worthy of hours on a forum)

need to know, whats the best chip for a 1997 F350, 7.3 power stroke with a 5 spd?

looking at the 80 hp range.....pull trailers half often...looking for more power and hopefully better mileage

trucks a crew cab, long box 4x4 so i know 20+ is unrealistic...lol

so who makes the best one, and wont fry my beloved old pick up?

Edge evolution is in my mind the best. I had a 97 and it worked well. Your best bang is to do a bigger downpipe and exhaust. I can get all of it man just let me know

I just pulled my chip for my 2000 last fall. It's sitting in the garage.
I ran it for 8 years with no problems.

I so have an auto trans though.

I don't know that it's a perfect fit as it's configured right now, but I BET it could be reflashed and set up for you for a lot cheaper than buying a new one.

IT's a Diablo. 70hp.

I'd be willing to unload it. And you're not too far away from Missoula.
