China drilling off the Keys???

Yeah you read that right........they are setting up riggin' 50 miles off( international water) AND slant drilling toward us.........taking our oil right out from under us!
1000 trucking companies shut down in the past 60 days! 42000 trucks not running.
Montana with coal to spare to be turned into energy but they cant get past the red tape and enviros.....

At what point are the American people going to throw down the hammer and say enough is enough!!!!
Or do you think we've gone too far to come back...........are the enviros and the socialists in control for good now??? When did Americans cease being free??And not know it?
Just my rant..............

A slant rig drilling 50 miles away isn't that big an issue.... How about the other countries, including China that are drilling in your back yard!!

OK, no offense but there is no way that a "slant" well will tap close to or take the oil out from underneath us. Maybe after the slant, they are 49 or 48 miles away from us.

they can get some pretty good distance going Hz with directional tools.... but nowhere far enough to drain anything 50 miles away.

Yeah, going horizontal they might be able to get 3-4 or so miles closer and that is an EXTREME lateral. A typical slant well will be no where near as close.

As much as I hate to admit it, china is doing better then the US right now. That stimulus package money didn't come from thin air, our government had to borrow it from somewhere (china). On top of that, half the money given out will be spent at wal-mart on chineese made products. Basically, China loaned us money, charged us interest and collects on us spending the extra money.

International waters are just that.....International. If all the oil companies could drill wherever, they would. But due to environmenalisits and the BLM it isn't that easy. Recently, most of the coal bed methane drilling was shut down around Gillette due to sage grouse dying off. I doubt that the act of punching a hole in the ground is killing these birds, (each CBM well takes less then two weeks to drill and complete) but the bottom line is that there will be alot less drilling for CBM in the future. If China is really drilling 50 miles off the Florida coast, that means that they are willing to spend the money it takes to create the infastructure to produce these wells and transfer the crude to a refinery or storage facility.....unlike the US companies.

I think he is mad that our GOV will not let us drill Anywhere But other countrys can drill that close.

The rant is that Russia, China, India and God knows how many other countries are booming right now!!! Why?? Because they are not controlled by lobbyiests, special interest, and who can bribe the best........they need oil, what do they do?? they friggin' drill it what do we do? wait to have someone sell it to us and not drill here. 'Cause you know we might harm a special flying rat or sand flea.........
The fees, developement charges, permits, enviromental impact reports, ect, ect the goverment requires is driving the cost of everything thru the roof. Fuel prices are crippling the economy. Our goverment is moving toward socialism at a rapid pace.........I mean really what do you think "natl' health care, cap and trade are all about??? Its big goverment in full control.The oil companies told congress if they can drill here, they can bring prices down. Congress turned their noses up at 'em.

My rant is Americans and their companies have their hands tied to do anything...........but beg the goverment for relief only to get told we're not poor enough yet............yet the goverment ( all parties) wants more and more of our hard earned money to pay for its screw ups!!!
I mean really! If goverment is helping to bail out bad mortages, just where does that money come from!!!! TAXES , mine, yours...........
as for China drilling??? dont care who it is but why the heck are WE not drilling there!!!!
