Chevy Rear Axle

Anybody know what the stock gears are on a 1995 Chevy 2500 Extended Cab 6.5L Diesel? Looking to put a straight axle under the front but I cant get to the truck to look under her and see what she has. Any info is appreciated.

my 93 6.5 has a set of 3.73's in her, there should also be a build sheet glued in the glove box that should also have that info on it. MIne has a manuel tranny, if yours is a autoit might be different. I doen't know if your interested or not but I have some mod parts that I built that I doen't need any more, pm me if so.

They either had a 3.73 or a 3.55 if I remember right. I know that doesn't help.

Take a look a the label in the glovebox, the axle code for 3.73 is GT4, the code for 4.10 is GT5. If it has the locking rear differential that would be a
G80. As I remember that is the only 2 ratios available on a 4X4 6.5. If the label is missing PM me with the last 8 digits of the VIN and I will check the vehicle build.
