Chevy Colorado

Hey, Lookin at an 06 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab with the new 5 cylinder engine, and a California Super Trucks 5" lift, sittin on 18'' MASS's, and some big toyo's. Any of you guys have one? How you like? how's that new 5 cylinder do, it is supposed to be more powerful and get better gas milage than the 6 but i don't know. Give me your input, i have till thursday to commit. I'm excited to get a truck! but don't wanna get to excited and screw up so let me know what you think

I'm a Chevy fan, but I think you are asking a lot of the inline 5 to push big wheels on a 5" lift. GM designed that truck to be a light weight truck that gets good gas mileage. I wouldn't buy one if it were lifted.

I know these trucks do not stand up as well as the ford ranger on the oil patch roads here in alberta. This is the word from several friends that have owned both.

what oil guys are driving rangers and colorado's in alberta??????????????????? they all seem to be driving 3/4 or 1 tons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The smart contract operators like me lol. Lots of people have realized that there rate is the same wether they drive a $60k diesel or a 4 banger ranger. Ill save my jacked up duramax for play time not work.

I just am not a fan of the "mini-pickups".

They are so much less truck than the 1/2 tons, but the mileage isn't much better.

They just don't make sense to me.

I second mafesto...with the new drop cylinder technology..hard to beat the new half tonners....get power and economy....
