Can I run a regular front rim on the front of a dually instead of the dual rim that is common with the rears? (it is 2WD)
It looks like there is a spacer on the front, does it come off easily?
Is there a regular hub and studs under it?

I recently bought a new 07 chassis cab/duramax/allison that stickered for $32,500 for $22,000. I really didn't need it but hated to pass up the deal,
now if I just could afford to put fuel in it. LOL

I would assume that you could take the spacer off and run SRW type rims...

...but why?

You wunna carry two spares around? OK - I guess in true dually spirit - you always have two spares, so you don't really need a spare for that, but you would hafta buy a spare rim for the front too.

I still hafta ask - why?

The spacer does come off and you would be able to run the rims you want. The only difference from a single wheel 1 ton to a dually front end is the spacer for the rim offset.
