How do I tell if a 4.3 is internally or externally balanced? Have a 4.3 out of a Safari(think it is a '92 one piece rear main) need to find a 153 tooth flywheel.
I believe the "Vortec" engines were internally balanced with a shaft spinning below the camshaft, I think the throttle body injected engines were balanced with a common external balancer or weights on the flywheel, but I could be wrong.
