Checking a used crank?

I just purchase a used crank and I am waiting for it to arrive. I was reading my manual on checking the run out, rod bearing side play and checking the bearings. I plan on checking all of that to double check it. My question is are the inner main crank bearing sealed? I do not see any inner seals listed in the manual. Also should I replace the bearings or just run it if they look good? Thanks in advance for your input.

they are not sealed and you would have to send it out to a crank place to replace the bearings.

I can tell you that if your PTO bearing falls off in your hand it's a bad sign
