All depends if you like the sled and want to keep it. If that is the case, do the "FIX" kit or one like it. That will give you peace of mind. Otherwise...???$$$

2 very light scratches isn't anything to stress over. On the ones that have scuffed pistons its VERY noticeable.

That said, doesn't mean it won't be happening down the road, actually probably will.

Only you can decide if you want to get something else or live with the one you have. I'd say you might want to wait to see how this season progresses with the '11s before jumping there.

pistons

I have a 2010 and just put the slp pipe on, I took a picture of my pistons while I had the Y-pipe off and heres what they look like. My sled has 700 miles on it. The ones where you cant see the rings are the exhaust side, the ones where you can see the rings and top of the piston are the clutch side.

When I pulled my pistons, the exhaust sides were fine. However on the reed side there were two large scratches/scuffs on each piston that lined up with the cylinder skirt tabs. The outside tab for both pistons. Had I not pulled the cylinder/pistons this would have been missed completely if you are looking through EV port or exhaust. Unfortunitly it seems like we are stuck between a rock and a hard spot for this issue on what to do?

Another thing everyone with a 08-09 cleanfire engine should consider is going to slp's site and purchasing the coolant bye-pass kit for the head! It's 30 bucks and it really helps keep the mag side cylinder cool considering Polaris didnt do ah good job with the coolant galleys on that side. We ran these last year and never had any problems and temps were alot lower then before.
