Checker Plate Deck

Does anyone have a sled deck with checkerplate on the surface? I just bought a Marlon Sled Deck with the checker plate top surface. Will I need Superglides on the checker plate? Will the carbides shred the aluminum or will it be slippery. I think I already know the answer but I thought I would see if anyone has experience.

You def need glides, old box liner works well and usually free. I have checker on mine, nice to walk on but carbides will dig right in

OK I added the superglides and the sleds load a lot better. On the bare checkerplate the carbides were dragging enough that my buddy had to pull a little to get them al the way on.
