Check your secondaries!

In theory you shouldn't have to use anything because of the pressure from the spring but I've always used red with no issues.

I always use blue, might have to try red next time... but that's got to pretty much guarantee the bolts snapping off then when you pull them though huh?

They come from factory with red, some heat is needed for sure and they are still tight the whole way out.

Don't forget to check the rear bushing play while you are at it. I blew two belts over the weekend so I took it into the dealer to have the alignment checked. The alignment was spot on but the contract surface of the rear bushing was completely shot. I would say that there was a full 1/4 inch of play at the outside of the sheaves. I was really disappointed because I just got the clutch back from slp less than 100 miles ago. Luckily I caught it before we headed west on Friday. The ****ty thing is that slp charged me good money for a clutch that was essentially junk. There is no way that I ruined that clutch in less than 100 miles, especially since half of that was done with my 6 year old daughter sitting on the seat in front of me.

bolts

We had one of them break off on our Demo M1100 last spring, the head of the bolt bounced around and put knicks in both clutches, cat warrantied them but they didn't show up until around june.

goodluck with that...

don't over torque them because the heads well break off. i have seen a couple. all the 800s got new bolts with the update. 1100s should have got them aswell.

This is what happened to mine over Christmas at Yellowstone and arctic cat is still trying to decide if there going to warranty it. They should be 12.9 grade instead of 10.9
