how does the check valve that is installed on the pto end of the case supposed to work. tore mine down and now reassembleing and putting new oil lines on. Just for the heck of it i hooked one end of the line to the valve and filled the line with a syringe. Tied the line up and left it. The oil slowy(overnight) runs out of the line and thru the check valve. Is this supposed to happen? or is the valve shot. If so it this valve pressed in or threaded? Thanks.

Sounds like its shot. I force oil through the line and check valve on a fresh assembly and it takes some force on the syringe to get the oil to go through.

Last season I had 3 out of 4 main bearings go on my 09. Allsport Polaris in Spokane did the crank rebuild. They wanted to check those valves. The one main bearing that was still good had a check valve that held back no oil. All the other check valves took a certain psi to push oil past. They believe the one bearing was getting over oiled and it was starving the others of lube. I tend to agree. If they all don't hold back the correct pressure you won't get even oiling.
