Geez did I pull a boner move during the week. I'm running a 2010 M8 with OVS turbo and running at 10lbs boost. We've got 3 feet of powder and I'm riding with 8 other guys. We are pushing the sleds hard in the powder and after some long deep climbs, my temp light comes on. I've got 2 feet of snow on my hood so I stop to let it cool and shortly after I start riding again and I can't pick up my RPM's again. Sled would spike to 8100 then fall to 7500 and 7700. I changed the belt, no difference. By this time I had climbed over 10k in elevation and snow was deep so I thought it may have been due to the deep snow.
We hit some nice climbs and I just deal with the low RPM's and get my butt handed to me in the process. So I spend the rest of the ride getting by and wondering what I need to fix as we drive home. Put the sled in the shop with a heater and dried it off. Started to top off the oil and noticed a plug wire laying on top of the head. The cap to the top plug on the mag side popped off and I rode dang near the whole day that way!
I'm ticked and relieved at the same time . So, if you have similar symptoms as I did, check the plugs!!!!
