Hahah..

I sent a computer to HP in Cali a month ago...it was overnight via fedex. I sent it, and it went clear to TN, and then to Cali over night.

My new helmets did that! Fedex for me, I guess how ever you look at it we get screwed! It took me 3 weeks to get them, was NOT happy.

Yes i agree, Fedex for me too.

Sent a crank and cases to MN from NY with $1,000 insurance on it. UPS DROPS the wooden crate and puts the crank through the side of the box and says its my fault for not packing properly??? WTF, So i file a claim wait 3 wks and still don't have a decision or my broken crank back yet..what a bunch of azz clowns.

I ship a lot of stuff all over the county and the best method I've found is DHL. You can ship a box of 4 shocks from MN to ME for 12 bucks. UPS would be close to 30. And I've never had a DHL shipment take longer than the tracking number says it will take.

They route stuff weird too. I shipped something from MN to CO recently, and on it's way, it first it went through OHIO...

I'll never buy from somewho who ships DHL again in my life. When I order an item and say "I need it on Monday" and the response I get from DHL and their local contract carrier when calling that Monday afternoon is "we only deliver in your area on Wednesdays" does NOT set well with me. We have good luck with UPS and Fedex but DHL sucks in more ways than the one story I mentioned here.

I get stuff overnight from CHINA via DHL for way less than either of the other two. Just had a 3kg package shipped yesterday, got it today. $135 shipping, but I had it less than 12 hours after she said she'd ship it.

oh, cost of the shipping is made up 10 fold on the cost of the parts I'm having made. Same part: $10.07/part from China, $250.00/part from US machine shop. Alcoa 6061-T6 aluminum which I've had tested to verify. Outsourcing at it's finest.

That's insane... And it sucks that it's true... How do you go about finding a company in china to produce parts for you? Is it a US company that has a shop in china?

No, they are Chinese, through and through.

found them on mfg.com. They put a bid on a machine part I had on there at less than 1/3 the cost of the lowest US shop. Gave the bid to the US guy, then sent it to China just to see what would happen cause it was so cheap. Got my parts from China, which were better quality, in 2 weeks for 1/4 the price with the shipping included...took the guy in Mississippi 5 weeks. I still have local companies do prototype work for me, but send the majority of my bulk orders to China.

Well here it comes bend over,
UPS made it official they denied my claim today. So lets see i gave them $60.35 to break my crank and tie it up for 3 weeks. The fuggers called and said come down and sign some papers and take it. I am thinking small claims court here, anyone else go through this?
