for wolves we used to blow compressed air in the tear duct and it would lift the skin and blow the hide up like a balloon for easier skinning

Never heard of someone hang an un gutted deer.

its much easier to gut them when they are hung.its a private land thing though.no motorized vehicles where I hunt.pack frame and good buddies!
