Check engine light

I had an interesting experience today. My check engine light came on today while riding the trail back to Corona. It only came on if the throttle was held steady at 6300ish rpm's. Once the light came on if I backed off the throttle the light when away and if I hammered on the throttle the light didn't come on. Only steady throttle around 6300. Engine temps where 120-129. No fresh snow.

It did not repeat the problem on the way out.

Thoughts??

What year and sled model? If it's an updated 800 cfi I would guess the ecu saw detonation. The new flash is very sensitive to it now.

Yes, and have ridden 4 times since the update and not had any problems. The only difference was I added a little octane boost to the tank this time.
