i started up my 07 m1000 today to get my # out of the bd box and the ck engine light was flashing a code 18. what does this code mean? how do i get a list of codes for this machine? do they make a repair manual for the late model arctic cats? i tried the search here but couldnt come up with anything. any help would be great.

it should tell you on the shock tower but incase it does not its faliure to servo motor the dealer has to clear it or fix the problem and then start it and it will be gone i would check the wires going to the servo as well as the wires under the fuel tank fuel tank wires would be my first guess though.good luck

I am assuming, your referring to the m1000 with rkt porting and SW pipe. If it is a servo motor failing I would replace it with a new one and new cables. If it is not in optimal working condition it may not open all the way and cause to much engine heat and burn it down. First make sure your Power valves are clean.

wyo, you are correct. sw pipe and rkt head. i just thought it was weird that i got the code sitting ideling in the garage. i rode it last weekend without any issues(except sucking fuel like crazy) ran good no ck engine light. i'll ck the power valves this am.

cleaned the power valve, they weren't that dirty. started it up and no ck engine light. good i guess, i was moving around the wires to the servo to ck the connections also, just not sure if it was the vavles being dirty or i moved the wires. so i guess we will see what happens.

my 07 cable started going bad and wiped out the servo motor, if your pv weren't very dirty it might be a good idea to replace the cables for under a $100 bucks. or disconnect them completely and run them back and forth, if there is any resistance at all junk them.

light is back on. got the tank off to ck the wiring and didnt find anything. started it with the tank off the wire it was still flashing. so i'll put it back together and ck the cables.
