Says 5 tooth cps missing signal. Had the recoil off recently to install a new cord and was wondering if I did something wrong to cause this. I will remove it later and check it out. If it is damaged wiring, can it be repaired or does the stator need replaced?

so it basically depends on the extent of the damage? I will take it off and investigate tomorrow. Anyone else ever have this happen after removing the recoil?

Ok so I pulled the recoil and do not see any visible damage caused by me reinstalling the recoil so I guess it is time to pull the flywheel. Anybody have a known good stator for an 06 900?

You may have just bumped the sensor and threw off the gap..I had one get bent and go outta spec ;)

Well I couldn't get the flywheel to pop off so I loosened and adjusted the crank position sensor closer to the flywheel and started it up, acted the same at first, check engine light flashing and stalled but then I started it again and no light and seems to be running good.

U don't need the flywheel off bud. Just measure the gap on the 2 sensors and adjust them if needed.

It will take a second for the ecu to clear codes after it senses they are good.

So hoping that was ur issue!!

Braaaaap!

Yeah I know the flywheel doesn't need to come off but I wanted to try and get a good look at everything while it was apart. Put about a 100 miles on it last night with no issues. Thanks for your help :face-icon-small-hap
