Nice find! I looked up some stuff that was the same as another vendor but a lower A arm was $15 less! I saved that to favorites!

thanks, looks like they are close to babbitts, but on 900 cases they are 9 bucks more and on the crank they are are a 120 more than babbitts

Sorry guys, the closest dealer to me is an hour away. I'm not going to waste my gas or time for that.

I did buy local when we did have a dealer here in town. In fact I bought stuff from 3 dealers that no longer carry sleds or out of bus. alltogether.

Didn't mean to offend anyone. Just wanted to help some guys out by saving some money. Sorry this is an actual dealership here in michigan, so not sure about the cheap unskilled labor comment. Its not like the place is from china or mexico. I do understand about supporting your local dealer and in a perfect world everyone would. But I was laid off for 10 months do you think everyone at my local polaris dealer bought GM vechicles?

Thanks LUBA for the heads up.

This is how I put the local dealer/buying internet thing into perspective.

There are plenty of times when I need a part RIGHT NOW and you will see me at the doorstep of my local dealer. I have spent a more than enough fair share at my dealer. (I guess more than the average customer). Now if I am planning on working on my sled then I will research and find the parts I want well in advance, get a good price and send it to me in the mail.

I guess the easiest way to put it is in the summer I use primarily internet venders and in the winter I use dealer when I need the parts. I guess it evens itself out. Thats how it works out for me....

suport my local dealer lol lol. I used to work for them! I could buy parts cheaper (like I bought a belt for my 900 and my 99 700 for the same price as my 900 belt) through the dealer an hour away than I could buy from work with my discount. so they didnt treat the employes fair, and ripped off the customer. so to say the least, I dont work there any more and still dont buy part there lol. not going to mention names but they are in Mara BC canada. the shop I buy from is in Vernon BC. just my 2 cents. I still cant believe how customers dont even shop around and just bought with out checking. same parts as other dealers but 20-100% more because they can. that sucks!

I screwed up, I had a 20% discount and was still 20% more so that means they were 40% plus higher than the next dealership. they told me it was for shipping lol. I guess people pay it! that is why I quit because I didnt want to be connected to a rip off shop lol. plus at 100 bucks an hour for shop rate and only wanted to pay 10 bucks an hour to me. and charged for stuff that was not being done. so dont shop local if the dealership is screwing you but go to where they treat you right. not just by the cheapest but by the workmanship! sorry for venting lol. those who do good work have nothing to worry but those who rip people off I hope sink out of the bussiness.

My local dealer is passing the shipping cost on to me so I will look for deals when I can for stuff I can do. I think it's funny if I want a part from a local dealer and have to ask how much is the part and btw... how much is shipping.

Thanks for the link. :beer;

Stocking parts

I'm all for buying from the local dealer for general supplies and gear that I need to try on or touch. BUT They can't carry every part for every sled.
Therefore let's get a couple internet dealers that do. Face it Fedex or UPS is cheaper than paying local tax and driving most of the time. My local dealer is closed on Mondays and if he orders something for me on Tuesday I'm lucky if I get it by Friday. Besides who really wants to hang out at the parts counter and wait for 3 guys ahead of you help the low paid laborer find the right part on the screen.

Pricing - I'm not going to pay MSRP and tax from my local dealer and wait a week for a part when I can log on and get it tomorrow. Dealers need to make a change.

What if you could log on to a dealers website and order parts direct from a regional warehouse and they would ship to your door. Dealers could even put up a kiosks in their store with microfische ordering stations and combine all orders at the end of the day and overnight them back to the store the next day. It would save us on shipping and probably lead to add on sales as I'm in the store anyway.

Think of the money dealers would save in inventory carry costs.

I think dealers could turn this into a huge win win for everybody. Take the step, change the rules.
