Cheap gas rack

I rigged up this $7 gas can that hold 2 gallons with no mods other than some padding on the tunnel to make a flat surface. The metal tube that runs dont the cent for the tail light wires has to be fixed by padding around it to get a flat spot. I used some left over peel and stick Hydro Turf from my jet ski project but anything will work. I then ran the strap around seat support and the floor board tubs and tightened it up with a spare ratched strap. It works mint on rough trails. It is nice to have a sled that is easy to work with.

Good stuff, yeah, I also had a hard time swallowing the cost of aftermarket or even OEM gas racks..

I built one from easy to get hardware store hardware and a hacksaw, file, and drill/bit.

Angle aluminum.
Carriage bolts, head first into the mounting rail.
Some washers, to get enough clearance over the wire cover down the center of tunnel.
Some rubber grommets. (may not be a requirement)
Some nuts.
